This single malt whisky was born from a collaboration between two Croatian craft pioneers who share the same respect for raw materials, process, and time. Medvedgrad Brewery and Duh u boci joined forces to unite the worlds of brewing and distillation, creating a whisky whose character begins in the brewhouse and matures in the cask. There are no shortcuts in this collaboration – every step is deliberate, guided by experience and a shared vision of authenticity.
Founded in 1994, Medvedgrad Brewery is the oldest and largest craft brewery in Croatia. Decades of experience in precise, controlled, and traditional brewing – especially in the most demanding beer style, lager – bring a deep understanding of raw materials, water chemistry, and fermentation. Carefully selected malts, a tailored water profile, and a closely controlled fermentation with chosen yeast form the foundation of this whisky. Special attention is given to this stage of production, as the whisky’s distinctive aromatic profile is shaped long before distillation begins.
